Get to

January 8, 2018

One-point English

I went to the zoo and got to see a panda.

例文の「got to see」の意味は…

1. I went home and could eat my mother’s homemade gyoza.
2. I went home and was able to eat my mother’s homemade gyoza.
3. I went home and got to eat my mother’s homemade gyoza.

1. I went to see kabuki in Tokyo and got to meet Ebizo!
2. If you come over for dinner, you’ll get to meet my wife and son.
3. I got to experience American-style Christmas when I stayed with my friend in Seattle.
4. I got to try skydiving when I went to New Zealand.

That’s it!
