Take advantage of

September 17, 2017

One-point English

Take advantage of [X]

He took advantage of a gap in their defense and scored a goal.

1. The owner of my previous company always took advantage of the managers. They couldn't say "no" so he made them work overtime without extra pay.

2. I took advantage of the nice weather and played golf with my friends.

3. I'm going drinking with my boss tonight. I'm going to take advantage of the situation and mention that my manager often makes rude comments about the female staff.

That's it!
